Unity vision periscopes

Kent Periscopes supply a variety of unity vision periscopes including custom new designs and 'replacement' periscopes for existing market designs.

Unity vision periscopes are used extensively in armoured fighting vehicles enabling the vehicle's commander, driver and other crew members to view their surroundings without leaving the safety of the vehicle and when 'closed-down' under armour.  The periscopes are typically positioned in the driver's hatch, vehicle hull and significantly, where applicable, in the vehicle turret or cupola.

Kent Periscopes offer a large number of unity vision periscope designs. Our periscope portfolio is categorised into 4 individual "Series" based on the origin of the design requirement.

  • K Series periscopes have been developed as replacements for designs derived originally from the North American market
  • E Series periscopes are replacements for in-service UK vehicles
  • N Series periscopes include replacements for other international vehicles
  • T Series periscopes have been designed by Kent Periscopes in response to specific new requirements

All periscopes built to a well-established production build standard and are offered with a range of optional features, such as:

  • laser protection filters
  • heated window components to de-mist and de-ice
  • black-out blind, and
  • wash wipe capability.

Optimised solutions are created to enhance the performance of existing periscope designs and configurations, for example by altering the fields of view obtainable, or where required new bespoke designs can be offered to meet a particular set of customer requirements.

Kent Periscopes is well known for high quality and competitively priced glass prism periscopes. Our aim has been to develop the very best product which affords maximum protection to the user both in respect of ballistic protection and threats from battlefield lasers. The use of optical grade glass delivers a superior life expectancy that out strips other alternative periscopes by many years, making the "through life costs" of the equipment more attractive.

If you have a given specification or are looking for a replacement for a particular market model, please use our periscope Quick Reference Guide to help you find the Kent Periscopes design that you require.
