Now widely acknowledged as an expert in our field, Kent Periscopes offer a mechanical, optical and electrical design service in support of the supply of our products.
Taking into account space envelope constraints, interface definition , fields of view, user positioning - all of which can vary from vehicle to vehicle - Kent Periscopes can analyse and validate the opportunities and constraints to design and deliver an optimised solution for the vehicle in question.
Utilising the latest CAD software, the design and detailing is worked-up to build 3D solid models that can be then supplied for 'virtual' fitting into our customer's own vehicle CAD models. In addition, combined field of view 'polar maps' can be produced for a given configuration to check for obscuration and other issues arising from the in-situ positioning of the equipment.
New product designs can then, if required, be rapid prototyped by our manufacturing supply chain, such that working prototypes are available for delivery to the customer within 10 weeks from the start of an engagement.
