Success of Kent Periscopes Limited recognised with Queen's Award for International Trade

The award was received for International Trade, in recognition of having achieved outstanding growth in overseas earnings, relative to business size and sector. More specifically, over a period of 3 years, the continuous significant year-on-year growth in overseas sales.

Commenting on receipt of the prestigious award, John Oliver, Managing Director of Kent Periscopes, said “As experts in our field we aim to establish proactive and responsive relationships with all our customers, in order to help ensure that the products and services that we supply represent the optimum solution to the given requirement. As a business, we have grown strongly and profitably from the outset, not only winning significant contracts in our home UK market but also establishing ourselves as a preferred supplier of periscopes and related sighting solutions to many of the leading armoured fighting vehicle and turret manufacturers around the world. With a significant forward order book and a growing number of new prospects we are now poised to enter a further exciting phase of investment and growth.”

Kent Periscopes is the only recognised UK-based producer of unity vision periscopes for armoured fighting vehicles. The business was established in 2005, and has since earned a reputation for designing, manufacturing and delivering high quality products and services at competitive prices. Based in St Asaph, North Wales, the business currently employs around 50 staff and has an active recruitment programme underway to increase this number over the coming years.
